AT A GLANCE: QUICK RATINGS
Where To Get It
A Deep Dive Into Mobvoi Ticwatch E2
This is one of the top fitness tracking watches in the price.
It uses a full OS Wear system so it can be used by Android and iPhones. It interfaces with Google Play so you have lots of App options
Connection to Bluetooth or Wifi allows the use of the built-in Google Assistant, and the ability to receive notifications so you don't need to carry your phone while working out.
It is water-resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM) so you can use it for swim workouts and has Fitness Tracking with a built-in GPS and heart rate monitor. The Mobvoi TicWatch E2 has Wear OS which makes it easy to use and is interfaced with Google and Mobvoi apps.
Between Google Fit and TicMotion Apps, you can really keep track of your training from your wrist. It is affordable and its battery life is about 2-2.5 days which is pretty good for a smartwatch. It was released in January 2019.
Historically, since 2015, Mobvoi and Google joined forces through a partnership using Wear OS and Google Assistant so you are reaping the benefits now, because let's be real, new systems need to evolve through experience.
Who Is It For?
This smartwatch is geared to someone who wants to track their fitness. It does not have NCF so you can’t pay bills with it, however, with the Mobvoi Fitness and Google Fit Apps, the price and value may be worth giving up that feature.
Most smartwatches geared for fitness are not small. This watch has a masculine look, and although it's rated as unisex, it does not have a smaller band option and the watch face is almost 1.4 inches. It is 12mm thick, however, it is relatively lightweight at 44 grams (55 grams including the band), a comparable weight to say a Huawei Watch.
This smartwatch is perfect for swimmers as the TicMotion app lets you monitor laps, speed, distance, and even strokes and is waterproof at a 5ATM rating.

Main Features and Functions
Lightweight: The watch is made out of polycarbonate so it seems more expensive and competes with high priced smartwatches.
Display: Watch face is almost 1.4 inches with AMOLED so the screen is large, some might consider it too large, especially women who prefer a smaller watch face. On the other hand, it makes for easier reading of messages and notices with a quick glance.
Resolution and Clarity: Very high resolution at 400x400 pixels so writing and pictures look sharp. There is a drawback in that there is no ambient light sensor but there are adjustable levels of brightness.
Make it your own: You can change the watch display and bands.
Design: The dark bleck bezel of the watch face and the black strap blend to make it an attractive look. There is a lined pattern surrounding the bezel that has a tendency to collect dust so you will need to clean the watch periodically. The bezel is a bit raised from the display so there is less chance of seeing scratches or cracks on the glass. We suggest you protect your watch with a thin tempered glass screen protector.
Built-in speakers: Watches with built-in speakers usually have a higher price but the good news is the TicWatch E is one of the exceptions to that rule.
No NCF: So if paying from your Smartwatch is a feature you need, you may have to look elsewhere, however the cost may be worth the lack of that benefit.
Apps: Mobvoi worked hard at pre-installing Apps like Tic Exercise, which enables you to manually start your activity tracking, supporting running, walking, swimming, and cycling.
Swimming: Mobvoi TicMotion enables you to track your swimming with an ability to track stroke type, speed and lap time. A big plus for swimmers.
Built-in GPS and music storage capabilities.
Reliable 24 hour Heart Rate Monitor, however, it is more reliable through Google Fit then TicPulse App.
A nice feature is that the Ticwatch E2 reminds you to move, like Fitbit Charge 3 and Apple Watch Series 4 fitness trackers, a feature I love. They are very helpful. Of course, you can turn them off if you do not like to be pushed.
It does not have sleep tracking.
Should you Buy this Smart Watch?
Mobvoi”s Ticwatch E2 is one of the best, affordable fitness watches/trackers for the money. The more serious athletes may want other features, but this will provide the basics and should strongly be considered.
It may be a bit big and clunky for some, So, provided you don’t mind a bigger watch on your wrist — and let’s face it most smartwatches are big — with its affordable price tag, Mobvoi TicWatch E2 delivers the basics well.
With the features it does offer, the Ticwatch E2 is simply a great value for a more casual athlete, especially swimmers. If you have an athlete in the house and they are a swimmer, this is a great tool to help them reach their goals. Especially if that athlete is you.
