Who’s it For?

The Kardia Mobile ECG sensor is for anyone who has a concern regarding their heart health, in particular regarding AF (Atrial Fibrillation¹). It goes without saying, anyone with serious concerns relating to their heart health MUST consult a doctor. Kardia detects irregular heart rhythms and signs of atrial fibrillation with medical grade accuracy. These traces can be shared with your doctor for a more informed diagnosis and proactive treatment plan. If you are concerned about the health of your heart this Kardia Mobile ECG sensor could give you peace of mind.

Easy to Use

One of the best features of the Kardia is it’s ease of use. Everything from installing the app (Google Play Store² and Apple Store³) to setting up your  personal profile and getting your first ECG reading is simple. It genuinely took me less than 10 minutes from opening the box to getting my first electrocardiogram reading.

The Kardia Mobile acquires EKG trace in just 30 seconds

Acquires an ECG reading in 30 seconds

Getting the ECG reading takes just 30 seconds. The easiest way is to hold the Kardia sensor on the back of your smartphone. Now press the RECORD NOW button on the app. Sit back, relax and watch the ECG trace on the screen. A timer counts backwards from 30 seconds to zero. After 30 seconds the trace is ready and you are presented with a summary review.

Detects Abnormalities in your ECG

If the reading is NORMAL, as shown above, the app stats “NORMAL” with an indication of resting heart rate.  If the tests identifies abnormalities, then there are a couple of choices. Either SHARE the trace via email (in PDF format) with your doctor or requesting a more comprehensive EKG review from the UK based Cardiac Physiologists.

If you wish, you can send the ECG trace to a cardiac physiologist for analysis

Something we get asked about every day is whether these devices can also measure blood pressure. No, they can’t. These ECG devices monitor the electrical activity around the heart. A blood pressure monitor measures the diastolic and systolic blood pressure while the heart pumps and rests. We have a selection of some of the most popular blood pressure monitors here

Conclusions

I am lucky enough to have a fit and healthy heart. However, I still appreciate this products features and functions. AF is the leading cause of stroke. Strokes are a worldwide killer. 90% of strokes could be avoided if the symptoms can be caught early enough to take preventative measures.  Kardia Mobile makes discovering and monitoring atrial fibrillation easy. I have given the Kardia Mobile ECG sensor and app a solid 5/5 stars in my review, something that seems to be reflected by their hundreds of customers …
