Garmin Forerunner 935 Announced
Another month and another new GPS sports watch from Garmin … will it ever stop? I hope not !!
This is the new Garmin Forerunner 935 GPS sports watch with wrist based heart rate using Garmin’s Elevate system of LED sensors. On first inspection of the available specification it looks like the Forerunner 935 is a combination of the high quality hardware found on the Garmin Fenix 5 and the technical sports performance monitoring of the Foreruner 735XT.
CardioCritic’s review of the Forerunner 935 will be available very soon. In the meantime, think Fenix 5 + Forerunner 735XT = Forerunner 935
With a battery life of 24 hours when USING both GPS and heart rate it’s going to be a winner with Ultra racing athletes and Triathletes. It can even be extended to 60 hours using the UltraTrac mode !
The 935 has all the high tech performance monitoring functions of the 920XT/735XT including Advanced Running Dynamics, VO2 Max and predicted Race finish Times. Garmin have included a barometric pressure sensor to provide accurate ascent / descent data and a digital compass to help keep track of your bearings. If you get lost the Forerunner 935 features TracBack (also found in Fenix 5 but NOT in 735XT). With TracBack the watch will guide you back to the start reversing your breadcrumb trail.
